We believe a surgical procedure is only as successful as the recovery. Our private nurses combine medical expertise with calm attentiveness, creating an environment where you feel seen and supported—never rushed or overlooked.

We believe you deserve nursing care that respects your privacy, honors your experience, and puts your wellbeing and outcomes first.

Our mission is simple:
To make your recovery smoother, safer, and (of course) more serene—so you can focus fully on the business of getting better.

Who We Are

Meet Kristine

Kristine Greene, the founder of Serene Aftercare. She has short light brown hair and a floral dress sitting in a field of dried grass at sunset, and is smiling at the camera.

About the Founder

Kristine Greene grew up on the Central Coast, where her passion for nursing first began while studying Kinesiology at Cal Poly. As a nursing student at Cal State San Marcos, she quickly discovered her calling in peri-operative care.

For the past 13 years, Kristine has had the privilege of serving her community as a Recovery Room nurse, working alongside expert surgeons, exceptional nurses and care teams in both hospital and outpatient settings.

After years of serving as a Director of Nursing at a private surgery center, Kristine identified a significant gap in post-surgical care within her community—particularly during the first 24–72 hours immediately after discharge. She is honored to extend her passion for recovery nursing beyond the clinical setting and into the homes of patients who would benefit from an elevated level of care and attention.

Patient comfort and continuity of care are two core values that Kristine cherishes. She is proud to have seen these values come to life as the guiding principles of Serene Aftercare.

When Kristine isn’t channeling her passion for nursing, she’s joyfully keeping up with her greatest treasures—her energetic 6-year-old boy/girl twins. Motherhood has deepened her appreciation for the incredible community they are so blessed to call home. Through it all, her husband has been a constant source of unwavering support, standing by her side every step of their journey together.

Kristine finds serenity and peace through watercoloring and creative expression, or in quiet moments of spiritual gratitude at the beach—standing in awe of the ocean’s power, the beauty that surrounds her, and the warmth of the sun’s gentle rays. This sense of calm, inspiration, and love for serving others led to the design and creation of Serene Aftercare—may you, too, find your serenity.
